The instrumental track I put together sounded like it wouldn’t have been out of place in a cheesy 80s movie with a 1980s school prom so I decided this would be a song about a 1980s prom night, or maybe I just spent December catching up on Stranger Things and so the 1980s kinda stuck with me.
