Adventures in Everyday Places

It would be perfect if life could always be an adventure. This year, I’ve been fortunate to be part of many adventures, but social media never captures the day-to-day which is a lot more mundane. In-between adventures is a lot of downtime, and some of those downtime can be pretty down.

So, this year, I channelled negative energies and thoughts into lyrics: instead of reacting negatively, or internalising my own thoughts, I wrote them down. I spent a lot of time writing. And over the course of a few weeks during the summer, I collected those snippets of writing together turned them into lyrics. And then, I worked up those lyrics into songs – and I’ve called them “Adventures in Everyday Places” because these were my adventures, good and bad, in everyday places.

And now I’m sharing them with you, so that you, too, may find Adventures in Everyday Places.
